Hideo Kojima recently expressed his enthusiastic and ordinary judgment on Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, deeming George Miller to be his divine figure. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga represents the newest chapter in Miller's series of films set in a dystopian, action-packed future, and it's slated for a release in cinemas on May 24. Kojima, however, had the chance to see it in advance, and his initial reaction suggests this film is set to impress.
"Had the chance to witness 'Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga'! This film not only transcends 'MAD' but also 'FURY,' reaching its peak of excellence!" remarked Kojima. "From the very first movie at the age of 16, George Miller has been a pivotal figure in my life, offering salvation, inspiration, and altering my perspective numerous times. He stands as my deity, and the SAGA he weaves serves as my holy scripture."
Undoubtedly, Kojima has the freedom to bestow a near-divine reverence on any individual, and his choice of the genius responsible for creating one of the most legendary and enduring movie series ever is far from misguided, particularly considering this individual also appeared in a cameo in Death Stranding 2. This reaction to the film, not to mention the associated images, definitely makes for intriguing content.
Nonetheless, it fits perfectly with the persona of Kojima, a videogame developer celebrated not only for his distinctive creative vision but also for his unique personal flair. He frequently offers reviews of films on Twitter, his last review before Furiosa being Godzilla x Kong, which he described as "very touching."
