An exciting development is unfolding as Samsung's forthcoming One UI 7 update, based on Android 15, is anticipated to enter beta testing next month in selected countries. In preparation for the update, several application packages associated with Samsung's ecosystem have appeared online, as reported by an informant on social media. This collection features the updated Samsung Calendar and Voice Recorder, which showcase a modernized appearance with only slight modifications in their primary functions.
Recently shared on X (previously Twitter) by user Gerwin van Giessen, in-app images of the Samsung Calendar and Voice Recorder illustrate the expected enhancements as part of the One UI 7 update. It's noted that the new Samsung Calendar will enable users to customize backgrounds for their reminders and alarms.
The Calendar home screen widgets have also seen a redesign, now offering increased customization options such as unique backgrounds and shapes. Additionally, the Voice Recorder app is expected to present users with a fresh and streamlined interface.
Changes are also noted in other applications, including the standard Calculator and Reminder apps. Alongside the shared screenshots, the APKs for these applications are reportedly available for download through APK Mirror.
A recent update suggests that the One UI 7 beta may become available for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series in mid-December. This phase 1 rollout of the operating system is set to commence in regions including the United States, South Korea, and Germany.
Ultimately, the official stable release of One UI 7 is projected for the following year, beginning in conjunction with the Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup, which is expected to be revealed in early 2025.
