Sonic X Shadow Generations Trailer Compares Shadow’s Classic and Remastered Stages

Sonic X Shadow Generations, set for a Fall release, has recently revealed a new video showcasing Shadow's revamped stages. Previous peeks showcased the Space Colony Ark and Radical Highway in enhanced versions, and the recent teaser shares a glimpse into stages derived from Sonic Heroes and Sonic the Hedgehog (2006).

Notable improvements include an expanded area and a broader field of view, yet the spotlight firmly falls on the upgraded lighting effects and textures. Certain sections with new camera angles have been modified to add a dramatic flair. Remarkably, despite these modifications, the remastered stages preserve a strong similarity to their originals, including features such as the eagle transporting Shadow.

It is worth mentioning, however, that the sections from Sonic Heroes are devoid of characters Rouge the Bat and E-123 Omega. The translation of vehicle sections from Sonic '06’s Kingdom Valley into the remastered version also piques my curiosity.

Enthusiasts of video games can anticipate the release of the Sonic X Shadow Generations on the 25th of October. Compatible consoles include Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Excluding Shadow and two distinct Sonic editions, a potential surprise awaits fans with the probable inclusion of a fourth playable mysterious character.
