Despite Starfield's early access starting on September 1 for deluxe edition purchasers, the official release was on September 6. As anticipated, a deluge of new players joined Bethesda for the premiere, and the turnout was actually overwhelming. 

The official Starfield account on X recently announced over 6 million players have engaged with the game. This impressive number, including Game Pass players, was drawn from earlier reports of strong sales, solidifying its position as "the biggest Bethesda game launch of all time".
