Diablo Immortal

Diablo Immortal is the first MMO with familiar elements from Diablo II and Diablo III. It is not surprising, because even during the beta tests, the developers used cassettes from the third part. Players are waiting for quite subtle locations and dungeons that those experiencing claustrophobia should stay away from. But once the first "yellow" stuff falls out, it becomes clear — this is Diablo and it tightens. Unexpectedly, but quickly enough, a real cycle of all kinds of activities opens up:

  • Go through the story chain with Deckard Cain and Zoltun Kull;
  • Go to the dungeon for Leoric solo or with random;
  • Finish your daily errands;
  • Add the essences of new monsters to the bestiary;
  • Put a gem in your new boots, and a minute later threw them away because I found cooler ones.
  • And much, much more.

At first, it seems that Blizzard has overdone the activities, but after playing for a few hours you start to understand everything perfectly and even plan how to spend the next gaming session! Of course, if we talk about those mobile gamers who can spend 15 minutes playing a day, then they have nothing to do in the top of the rating tables or among the Immortals — top PvP heroes, but there is no such game where you will be in the top for 15 minutes a day, right?

On the other hand, with such detailed and unobtrusive training, even casual guides are unlikely to be useful — Immortal has metrics for almost every aspect of the game.

There is no way to bypass the donation, you can argue endlessly here, just imagine — as many as 3 types of seasonal passes plus a subscription, not counting limited sets for obtaining a certain level and premium currency for glyphs, gems, and other things. Well, what did you want in a free and well-known MMO? Looking ahead a little, I will say that it is not worth worrying about this. Moving on!

Manual Сontrol and Lack of Auto-functions in MMO?

There are almost no auto-features in Diablo Immortal, which all Asian MMOs suffer from. You need to fight manually and even run between quests, personally, I am incredibly happy about this, auto-running turns on only after you complete a certain number of tasks, and then it is unlikely that you will be able to run far.

All this is unusual for mobile gaming, which is more rolling into idle games with smart bots farming for you 24/7.

Classes in Diablo Immortal

By the way, while there are only 6 classes in Diablo Immortal, Blizzard promises to add more in the future, but for now, we are content with a barbarian, a crusader, a sorcerer, a demon hunter, and a monk with a necromancer. All of them are more or less aimed at causing damage, so there are no pure supports and there should not have been. What does it mean? And the fact that the game is not sharpened for PvP, to the extent that you imagine it when you hear about PVP.

Pumping and Legendary Gear

You can knock out legendary items in different ways, one of them is going to the dungeons and doing daily errands. But in general, the legend can fall out for any sneeze, for example, when updating the Bestarium with the help of monster entities. Pumping a character is easier than simple — skills improve themselves, and there are no separate points for characteristics, so the whole emphasis is on the rarity of equipment, gems, and their synergy.

For example, a legendary stone can add a buff or change the effect of your ability. It is at this point that the customization of the class begins for your role in the team and style of play. For example, my Crusader takes on monsters, acting as a tank, and the main attack allows you to dodge, receiving less damage from bosses.

But if you don't like the grind with randomness, then Diablo Immortal can disappoint — basically this is what you have to do every day, so it's not surprising if at one point this game will become a job for you
